Commwarrior - Users Can Be Infected by MMS
The story usally starts with MMS received from somebody you know. Let's say that you receive a MMS message from your friend and it contains text:
or
or
or
or
many others.
What will be your reaction? If it is from somebody you do not know, you might be suspicious. But it came from your friend! Of course if a wife receives MMS message from her husband and it contains something like "Virtual SEX Virtual SEX mobile engine from Russian hackers!" she might be suspitious, but I am afraid she will be more curious than suspitious.
If you don't resist and install it, you will not only break the rule #4 from our list, but you will also make "happy" all your friends and bussines partners which are in your local address book and all your colleagues which are close to you and have cell phone that might be infected.
Commwarrior will send MMS messages containing the commwarrior SIS file and will also try to spread over bluetooth.
So, the Commwarrior is the first ever cell phone virus that can replicate itself over MMS by sending MMS messages to other users.
