  History of cell phone viruses starts with Cabir (Caribe)
  
  The sample of first ever cell phone virus was sent to anti-virus firms. Cabir can spread only over bluetooth.



• August 11, 2004
  
  Mquito discovered
  
  Mquito sends SMS messages to premium rate number.
  



• November 19, 2004
  
  Skulls discovered
  
  Skulls replaces all application icons with picture of skull and cross bones and none of the higher level aplications of cell phone will be able to start.
  



• December 22, 2004
  
  MGDropper discovered
  



• January 10, 2005
  
  Locknut (alias Gavno) discovered
  



• March 7, 2005
  
  The next level of cell phone viruses comes with Commwarrior
  
  Commwarrior is the first cell phone virus that can replicate itself over MMS by sending MMS messages to other users.

  Dampig discovered
  
  Damping disables some system applications and it cannot be uninstalled without being disinfected first.
  



• March 21, 2005
  
  Drever discovered
  
  Drever disables some cell phones antivirus programs.
  



• April 6, 2005
  
  Fontal
  
  Fontal can destroy your data!
  



• April 4, 2005
  
  Mabir
  
  Mabir spreads through Bluetooth and MMS.
  



• Beginning of May 2005
  
  The Cabir virus has been sighted in 20 countries
